COVID-19: ABIA POLY DONATES TO THE STATE GOVERNMENT

The first class technologically advanced driven institution, Abia State Ploytechnic, Aba have made a donation of 20 semi-automated hand washing machines, 1000 face masks, and cartons of 60% alcohol based sanitizer, all produced by the polytechnic in support to the Abia State government in its avowed effort to avert and control the spread of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic in the state.

Led by the chairman, Governing Council, Elder John Nwamgborogwu, Council members, Rector, Prof. Ezionye F. Eboh, and other members of Management of the institution were received by the secretary to the Abia State government, and chairman, Inter Ministerial Committee on COVID-19, Barr Chris Ezem. He expressed satisfaction, adding that by this singular gesture, the Polytechnic have demonstrated true patriotism and rare spirit of being our “brother’s keep”.

He also directed that the semi-automated hand washing machines be placed in different locations of government House where they will be judicially put to use.

Present during the presentation are the Abia State Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Onyebuchi Emenike, Esq, and other top government functionaries.
