ABIAPOLY WINS NIPOSSGA’23 FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT, HIJACKS DEFENDING CHAMPIONS TITLE FROM OFFAPOLY.

The Abia State Polytechnic, Aba after a strenuous battle, withdrew the defending champions title from Federal Polytechnic, Offa with a penalty shootout in the final match of the 2023 NIPOSSGA Games.

The final of the football tournament was played at the Main Pitch of the host institution, following the closing ceremony at the North Campus Field, The Polytechnic, Ibadan.

Meanwhile, several institutions participated in the different group stages of the NIPOSSGA’23 football tournament, but on a final note, the Abia State Polytechnic was fortunate to have met with OffaPoly and claimed from them, the title of the defending champions they have maintained for two years.

Both teams employed tactical skills and all their energy to secure a goal. None of the teams conceded any goal, as the full time of the match ended in 0-0. However, the subsequent penalty shootout accorded Abia State Polytechnic victory.
