Today been 9th of March 2022, the Chartered Institute Of Bankers Of Nigeria are in Abia State Polytechnic Aba Abia State for the accreditation of ACIB/HND LINKAGE PROGRAMME. Welcoming the team on behalf of the rector, Prof. Osonwa Kalu Okorie, the Council, management and the entire Abia State Polytechnic community, the Deputy Rector Academics Dr. C. S. Mpamugo thanked them for the visit. He said the relationship should have started long before now but it was better late than never. He also assured that after looking into our books they would be satisfied that we are really qualified for what they have come to do. In his remarks, the leader of the team Mr. Chinedu Anowuru FCIB,JP, appreciated the management for their kind reception. He also observed that most of the management team and lecturers are part and parcel of the banking department which facilitates the system unlike most places they have visited and that have already earned us some marks. A memorandum of understanding is expected to be signed at the end of the accreditation. The registrar, Mr. Oriaku Chinyere C. was represented by the H O D admissions, the Bursar Chief Friday Andy Omenihu, the Librarian Mr. C. N. Ndulaka, the director of works Engr. Jude Nwogu, the H O D banking and finance Dr. Fijoh Kalu and some other senior lecturers were also present at the event.
